Wela joined The Team in 2018 with a passion for her community and a desire to advocate for the economic prosperity of local businesses that support the quality of life she enjoys in Columbia County. Tasked with the daily operations of Columbia Economic Team, she keeps the machine running smoothly, flexing her multitasking and can-do attitude muscles often, especially when the challenges of COVID threatened local businesses so significantly.

Wela is described by her fellow teammates as an organized, caring, hardworking doer who commits to the work and always follows through.

A wife and mother of 2 who was born and raised in Hawaii (and will never drive in the snow!), Wela is an avid sports fan, cheering on her son in basketball and her daughter in soccer, plus enjoying the Trailblazers, Thorns, and Timbers any chance she can.
